KERN IoP | MONITOR
Review measurements, operating histories and reports from the equipment included in your installation. Organize information by machine and period, and relate it to production, quality or work orders when those records form part of the project.

KERN IoP | MONITOR · USING OPERATING DATA
Review operating history, not just the latest measurement.
KERN IoP | MONITOR brings together data acquired by the system and makes it accessible through dashboards, historical queries, reports and data exports. The available views depend on the integrated variables and modules.

Find the relevant records
Find and compare records by equipment, variable or period, as well as by product reference or work order when those identifiers are available.

Compare operating performance
Analyse availability, performance and quality when the necessary machine states, cycles and inspection results are available.

Relate energy to output
Calculate energy per part or kilogram when consumption and output correspond to the same time interval and system boundary.

Investigate quality and losses
Review scrap records and their circumstances to guide investigations with the relevant plant personnel.

Variables and histories
Examine available records and how they change over time.

Organization by equipment
Group data sources according to the production structure defined for the plant.

Operational dashboards
Select variables and indicators relevant to production, maintenance or process engineering.
KERN IoP | MONITOR · VIEWS BY ROLE
Different teams ask different questions about the same operation.
Dashboards and reports are arranged around the equipment, variables and user roles included in the project. The platform supports filtered historical queries and data exports; the specific configuration determines which views and indicators are available.

Production
Review cycles, stoppages, product references and quantities to understand the events of a shift.

Process engineering
Compare trends in recorded variables under equivalent conditions before and after a documented process adjustment.

Maintenance and management
Review historical data and events for the period under investigation; each indicator depends on the available records.
Recording a downtime cause, material change or inspection still depends on the underlying data source. The software can relate automated measurements to plant-reported information when both are integrated using consistent identifiers.
Prepare a demonstration relevant to your application.
Describe the information you need to review, the relevant equipment and available production data. This helps us demonstrate a suitable view and distinguish existing functions from project-specific adjustments or integrations.
Points to be agreed in the proposal
- Included variables and indicators.
- User roles and access conditions.
- Data retention and retrieval periods.
- Export and integration requirements.
- Installation, training and support.

MONITOR · FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What can you review, and which data does MONITOR need?
What information can KERN IoP | MONITOR display?
It can display machine variables, operating states, historical data and production, quality or energy indicators when those data are included in the installation and integrated into a common structure.
Can I review historical data by machine or time period?
Yes. Stored variables and events can be retrieved by equipment and time range, subject to the project’s data-acquisition and retention configuration.
Can MONITOR calculate OEE?
Yes, provided the data needed for availability, performance and quality are available and correctly defined. The reliability of the indicator depends on consistent machine states, part counts and operational definitions.
Can energy consumption be related to output?
Yes. Where energy measurements and production data are integrated, metrics such as kWh per kilogram or kWh per part can be calculated, provided the quantities, weights or units needed to normalize consumption are available.
