Industrial data with production context
KERN IoP develops hardware, software and engineering solutions for industrial monitoring. In injection molding applications, the system can integrate available machine signals, sensors and operator-entered information so that cycle, downtime, energy, quality and production data can be reviewed within the same operational context.
What can be monitored
The relevant variables depend on the machine, mold, material and objective of the project. Typical examples include cycle time, machine states, selected process variables, production counts, downtime causes, energy consumption and quality records. The installation scope is defined from the signals and infrastructure actually available in the plant.
From measurement to improvement
Monitoring does not guarantee savings, lower scrap or higher OEE. Its value is to establish a measurable baseline, identify where losses occur and verify whether a specific intervention changed the expected indicator under comparable conditions.
A modular architecture
KERN IoP projects can start with a limited measurement scope and expand as new variables, machines or analysis requirements are incorporated. This allows the technical and economic scope to be defined according to the application instead of assuming the same architecture for every plant.
